Friday, the boy basketball players will be having a scrimmage at MMS. This is just an event for student body and staff only. There will be activities for students to participate in and a small concession stand if you'd like to bring money. The girls will travel to Greenbank to do something very similar with their student body. We hope that you all have a wonderful break!

November has been filled with snow, rain, warm weather, and freezing temperatures. We all realize that winter is coming and with that, students will be wishing for snow days! We are providing this explanation of the steps that are involved in deciding a weather delay or early dismissal. It is not an easy task, but we strive to make the best decision with the information that we gather. Thank you for your continued support of Pocahontas County Schools.

The online parent survey will be available from October 2 through November 17, 2023. Parents are asked to complete an online survey about school climate, the learning and teaching/working conditions, to help guide school improvement efforts. The results of this survey will be used to make changes in their child's school to ensure a supportive environment for teaching and learning. The survey may be completed from any computer with an internet connection. Parent participation in the survey is very important. If parents have questions about the survey or problems completing the survey, they should contact MMS. To protect parent/caregiver confidentiality, at least 10 parents must take the survey for results to be summarized for your school. Your participation is voluntary. You may choose not to participate; not to answer any questions you do not want to answer; and you may stop participating at any time during the survey without penalty. Your responses will be anonymous and confidential. Parents can access the survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WVSLES_P_F23 Parent login code: P069302 Thank you for your participation!
